Also known as Veronica, snow queen is a low-growing perennial that produces purple bell-shaped flowers with protruding stamens in late winter through spring. This woodland plant has hairy, evergreen leaves that form a basal rosette. It thrives in shade and rich, well-drained soils along the maritime Pacific Northwest.
