BPA Project Update

BPA ACCESS ROAD PROJECT UPDATE:
Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) is repairing transmission line access roads on Mt. Pisgah that were damaged in the January 2024 winter storms. Temporary repairs were made in the spring of 2024, and now permanent repairs are underway. Repairs to Trail 1, Trail 4, and Trail 14 were completed in December. The second phase of access road repair is forecast to take 2 to 3 weeks to complete and will occur between storm cycles. Repairs to Trail 2, Trail 6, and Trail 46 will begin in earnest the week of January 6th. All work is forecast for completion by January 31.

The North and West parking lots and associated trailheads will remain open during this phase of project implementation. Please refer to the geo-referenced pdf map here to review the area of closure. Park visitors can utilize this map on apps including Avenza and OnX to assist with orientation to the area of closure while hiking, riding, running, or walking those trails that remain open.

The Southeast Parking lot accessible by way of Ridgeway Road in Pleasant Hill is closed for the duration of project implementation. Trail 2 east of the intersection with Trail 24, Trail 3 south of the intersection with Trail 56, Trail 4 east of the intersection with Trail 24, Trail 6 east of the intersection with Trail 56, and Trail 46 are closed for the duration of this project.

For your safety and the safety of the equipment operators working to repair the access roads, please respect the closure and avoid the affected trails.
