Description

Tufted hair grass, also known as salt and pepper grass, tussock grass, or small-flowered tickle grass, is an excellent forage and hay grass and an attractive ornamental. Mostly evergreen with tall, fine-textured flower stalks and loose, open purplish-green panicles. A cool-season bunch grass, easy to grow, and a good wetland plant that tolerates both drought and seasonal flooding. Deer resistant. Reseeds well.
