Fraxinus latifolia - Oregon Ash

Description

Oregon ash is  medium-sized deciduous tree with an average lifespan of  100-150-years. Form varies considerably depending on growing condition. Open-grown and well-watered trees can develop a broad crown, but crowns are narrow when the the tree is part of a dense stand. In dry conditions Oregon ash can become stunted and very small. The light green leaves turn bright yellow in the fall. Flowers are inconspicuous. Male and female trees are necessary for reproduction. Easy to grow and establish under sufficiently moist conditions.
