An important native pollinator plant that was also used by Native Americans as a food source. Strongly resents disturbance and a happy plant will live for decades. Excellent performance on slopes. Over time the rosette increases in width and spring flowers. Not bothered by pests. Once native in the Portland area, its original range in W. Oregon has been substantially diminished. |
