Starry false Solomon's seal is a creeping rhizomatous perennial commonly found in moist woods. Each unbranched stem is adorned with alternate stem-clasping tear-drop shaped leaves. Late spring racemes of delicate star shaped flowers are followed by interesting round fruit that mature from green with blue-black stripes to blackish-red to black.
