Philadelphus lewisii - Mock Orange
Description |
Lewis's mock orange is the state flower of Idaho, and is named for its heavy, sweet, fruity scent, which is similar to that of orange blossoms. Once leaves have emerged in early spring, mock orange will provide a soft backdrop for garden beds, and will be covered in its delightfully scented blooms in late spring to early summer. Drought tolerant once established, it is a great choice for a xeriscape garden. |
