Description | Tall western meadow rue (Fendler's meadow-rue) is a beautiful plant with bluish-green compound leaves reminiscent of its close relative columbine. The leaves have a distinct pleasant smell when crushed. Male flowers have large tassel-like stamen dangling below green sepals. Female flowers are less showy. Both flower types are very small. Leaves turn yellow in autumn. Both male and female plants needed for seed production. |
