Description

Roemer’s fescue is an attractive bunchgrass with leaves and stems that vary in color through greens and blues to dark purple or red. Freshest and most lush during the winter, Roemer's fescue goes dormant by the onset of summer drought unless provided with regular water and good drainage. Excellent underplanting for drought-adapted shrubs or for the garden/wildland interface. An important native grass for restoration of upland prairie and oak savanna, good for bank stabilization.
