Description Tall western meadow rue (Fendler's meadow-rue) is a beautiful plant with bluish-green compound leaves reminiscent of its close relative columbine. The leaves have a distinct pleasant smell when crushed. Male flowers have large tassel-like stamen dangling below green sepals. Female flowers are less showy. Leaves turn yellow in autumn. Both male and female plants needed for seed production.
